The farm consists of approximately 12 hectares in the communes of La Morra and Monforte d’Alba and we produce about 60,000 bottles, half of which is Barolo D.O.C.G. This size allows Mauro to keep a direct control on all production processes, in the vineyards as well as in cellar, maintaining high quality and making necessary investments in new technology and machinery.
The result is the authentic essence of our “terroir” in a glass, four different Crus of Barolo: Arborina, Rocche dell’Annunziata and Gattera (located in La Morra), and Castelletto (located in Monforte d’Alba and belonging to Daniela’s family). The age of vines is very important too: the finest complexity and concentration of Barolo comes from old vineyards and in the youngest ones we produce the Langhe Nebbiolo Angelo. The same concept is the difference between the Barbera d’Alba Cascina Nuova, more rich and concentrated needs to age in oak, while the simple Barbera d’Alba, more fresh and easy, is aged in inox just like the Dolcetto d’Alba.
