Allegrini is the leading producer in the Valpolicella Classico area and one of the most highly acclaimed wineries in Italy and throughout the world. The family’s roots in Valpolicella date back to the 16th century. Today the winery consists of more than 100 hectares (247 acres) set amongst the rolling hills of the “Classico” appellation.
All wines made under the Allegrini label are produced exclusively from these estate vineyards.
Thanks to a profund understanding gained during years of research and experimentations, Allegrini has perfected a style of Amarone that maintains and even enhances the full potential of the grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are set aside to raisin for a period of 3-4 months, during which the grapes lose approximately 40% of their original weight
