Favorita is a vine of the Roero, now appreciated for its enological potential, while in the past it was intended for consumption as “table grapes”. To express their potential, these grapes need a good maturation, thus obtaining the typical “blonde” color. At this purpose, they require very sunny exposures. It is therefore obvious that in the dry, sandy and sunny hills of the Roero area, this grape finds its ideal habitat.…The special features of this wine, marketed as “Langhe Favorita” (D.O.C. since 1994), are the intensity and elegance of the fragrance and flavor, making it quite distinguishable from the other white wines in Piedmont
