A cuirassier. Fleshy, extremely focused. The first vineyard purchased in Serralunga d’Alba. This Cru fully represents Luigi’s love for this village. The vineyard stands on a hill in front of the homonymous church of San Rocco. The clay present in this soil gives the mouth an intense energy. For this reason Serralunga d’Alba is called ‘il corazziere’ (cuirassier, a very skillful and powerful soldier) of the Langhe region. In fact the wine results in great structure, deepness, fully showing an intense complexity. Here Serralunga is present with signs of licorice, spices and dark fruits. Cherry, currant and blueberry melt harmoniously together. Velvety and sweetly ripe, with splendidly integrated tannins.
