VSP (vertical shoot positioning), with wooden stakes and stainless steel wires; cordon spur training, leaving 6 to 10 buds per plant

Vintage

with cool temperatures and rain concentrated mainly in the spring, 2011 was overall drier than the average for Sicily, with grape yield slightly lower than the norm. Healthy ripe grapes made it possible to “bring to the glass” a rich bouquet of fragrances, outstanding elegance and very mellow tannins

Fermentation

in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for about 8 days at a temperature of 24-26 ° C (75-79°F)

Aging

after malolactic fermentation, the wine fines for about 2 months in tanks and then for almost 3 months in the bottle

TASTING NOTES

Description

Sherazade 2011 confirms its characteristics as young wine that’s easy to drink; color is ruby red in color with violet glints. To the nose come scents of berries and cherries, with a balsamic touch. Tasting reveals whole fruit and very gentle tannins, with a pleasantly spicy finish. Suitable for those who dislike “sturdy” red wines
