Geographical location
The grapes come from Rodello, a vineyard of 1,9 hectare, on a hilly ground with an altitude of 450 meters above sea level, with a South/East exposure, dry soil marl-calcareous and clay
Vine and planting
The vineyard is composed exclusively of Nebbiolo with Italian cloning material. The training system is Guyot with around 5,000 vines per hectare
Technological mentions
Traditional maceration which lasts 18 days with the caps submersed at a temperature of 30-33°C, with continuous “rimontaggi and follatura” after a time of 30 days in steel vats, the wine is then put into French oak caks of 500 liters for 15 months, and then refined in the bottle
Sensory characteristics
An intense ruby red with brick red reflexes, a constant vinuous perfume, clean, spacious, with rose and vanilla sensations, a dry taste, full, harmonious, with hints of cinnamon and liquirizia, equilibrated tones, with an optimal persitance on the palate. Great and powerful tannins for a nebbiolo that can have a long life!
