Barbera d'Alba Superiore, Dogliani il Generale
From our most ancient vineyards located near Vergne, both the traditional Barbera D’Alba, as well as its Superior version, are obtained from Barbera grapes through a medium-long maceration. The rigorous selections of bunches, allow us to diminish quantity but definitely increasing the quality.

Fermentation and maturation
The vinification follows the tradition of floating cap with pump-over. After 10 days on the skins at a controlled temperature of 28°C, follows a rapid malolactic fermentation before the long ageing

After brief passing in steel tanks the Barbera D’Alba Superiore, ages at
least 4 months in French tonneaux and big oak barrels
