"Fides", or “faith” in Latin, represents the great longtime faith of our family in the Barbera grapes planted and grown in the area of Barolo. The grapes are planted in our family-owned Colombaro vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba, one of the most exclusive “terroirs” of the entire Barolo area, where we could easily obtain a great Barolo instead. Extremely low yields and a strictest grapes selection

Vinification

In stainless steel tanks. Skin contact maceration for 25 days

Ageing

Immediately after racking, for 18 months in oak; a small amount in French oak barrels

Notes

Full body, structure and concentration. Ripe fruit and spicy. Balanced and long life. Extremely small quantity produced
