Our classic Barolo comes from the best plots of seven crus in the townships of Barolo, Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba. The diversity of soils, exposure and altitude characterizes each of this small but very important vineyards. Unifying this diversities, the Barolo offers harmony and complexity with an overall character of  the zone

Viticulture

grassing on the rows intercalated with tillage during the fall and spring, done by hand between the vines. Average yields of 40 Hl/ha

Harvest period

normally on the first / second decade of October harvest by hand, differentiating within the same vineyards plots considering age of vines and/or exposure and/or altitude on the hill

Vinification

separate vinfication of the cru. Destemming and light crushing. Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel with temperature controlled and indigenous yeasts; malolactic fermentation in oak barrels; natural tartaric stabilization

Aging

every plots of the crus is kept separate and aged in French oak barrels for10 months and further 14 months in large casks. Final blend as a result of a further selection in the cellar of the most performing plots of the vintage. 1 year stainless steel and 10 months of bottle aging
